Museums/galleries/exhibitions
Numerous exhibitions punctuate the life of Lausanne’s museums. We particularly recommend:
Plateforme-10, in the brand new arts distict located a stone’s throw from the train station, which will bring together three of Lausanne’s major museums from this June:
The MCBA, the cantonal museum of fine arts, houses a rich programme of exhibitions and permanent collections. From June to September, a donation of works by Jean Dubuffet will be on display.
The Mudac (cantonal museum of design and applied art) presents contemporary creation in Switzerland, mainly through temporary exhibitions.
The Photo Elysée, entirely devoted to photography.
Don’t miss the Fondation de l'Hermitage, housed in a splendid residence overlooking the cathedral and the Geneva lake.
The work of the French neo-impressionist painter Achille Laugé will be presented at the time of the congress. The terrace of the Esquisse café-restaurant allows you to prolong the pleasure of this discovery in a beautiful setting of nature and gastronomy.
The Collection de l'Art Brut, which began in 1971 with the donation of Jean Dubuffet’s collection, is located in front of the Beaulieu Congress Center and will present temporary exhibitions at the moment of the congress which we are looking forward to discovering.
Not forgetting the other museums, including the Olympic Museum (where the evening of the congress will be held), the Lausanne Historical Museum, the Roman Museum, the Hand Museum, etc., as well as numerous galeries.
